Sacred Rage Original Painting
My incredibly talented best friend Bonnie Goodson and I made this (enormous!) oil painting together, starting in 2014, and just recently I put the finishing touches on her and got her photographed.
Acrylic and oil on 36”x48” canvas.
We were of course inspired by Kali, the Hindu goddess of death, time, and doomsday, and by the death mother/ Tower archetype that she embodies. This is not an exact representation of Kali, but an interpretation of the archetype she represents. My favorite thing about Kali, besides her fierceness, is that she represents both total destruction and motherly love. The ancient spiralic human story of destruction and rebirth feels more real and relevant now than ever before.
This original painting is available with 20% of profits going to Asha ⚔️🔥🕯https://asha-india.org
Please note that this is an enormous painting and it would be much better to do a drop off/ pick up in person, and save us both on shipping. I live in Colorado; please contact me to work out details through the contact form. thank you!
